Biography:
Dr. Booth entered the real estate industry after having careers in industrial design, military, university professor, legal aid, cartoonist, writer, entrepreneur, residential and commercial real estate sales, counseling, and real estate education.
Highlights of his endeavors include: numerous leadership positions at NAR in International Operations; Equal Opportunity-Cultural Diversity Committee; and member Certifications and Designations Committee; reporter for TV series Real Estate Digest; author of international and agency articles; numerous positions at the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors including Chairman of the Board.
Dr. Booth also served as State President for Virginia during 2004, 2002 Outstanding Real Estate Educator of the Year for the State of Virginia and 2006 Realtor of the Year for the State of Virginia. Dr. Booth is also a certified instructor for Broker Law, Finance, Fair Housing, Diversity, and other related subjects.

Biography:
Mr. Cantero is licensed in Real Estate in the state Florida since 1985, and previously a recipient of a New York State Broker’s License. Mr. Cantero’s international experience prior to that was a result of being involved in the chemical industry with a series of multinational companies, and having extensively traveled in Europe, Latin America and Asia.
Mr. Cantero’s specializations include residential resales, marketing of foreclosures; and in particular serving inbound international investors and residential real estate exchangers.
Mr. Cantero is currently President of the Residential Society of REALTOR® Association of Miami, and is the recipient of the Association’s Educational Award in 1994, and Realtor of the Year Award for 1995. Furthermore, he is a member and director of numerous committees of the Miami Association, Florida Association and National Association of REALTORS®.
In addition to having earned the designations of Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), and Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI), Mr. Cantero holds a Master Degree in Chemical Engineering from New York University (NYU), 1972.

Biography:
Mr. Chemek is President of Manhelm International, an international real estate investment and consulting firm with offices in the United States, Canada, Germany, South Africa and Argentina. The company provides consulting and acquisition services for International Clients who wish to invest or do business in the Americas and Europe. Mr. Chemek is also the CEO, and regional director of RE/MAX Germany Regions North, East and West. RE/MAX Commercial and Residential Real Estate is now in 29 countries, with over 3,200 offices and over 52,000 Agents/Maklers world wide.
Mr. Chemek is a native of Germany. He studied Aeronautical Engineering and International Economics. He opened his own real estate company in 1976 in Germany and his first Branch Office in Houston, Texas in 1982. Mr. Chemek has extensive real estate contacts in Germany, Europe and around the world, with major residential and commercial firms as well as investors, institutional investors and real estate funds.

Biography:
Originally from Hong Kong, Fanny is fluent in English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Shanghainese. Fanny and Joseph Chu, her husband/business partner, are known as the "Dynamic Chu-Chu Team." Consistent top producers for Prudential California Realty, they specialize in residential, exchanges and relocation in the San Francisco Bay area and global referral service. Community service-minded, she has served on the Volunteer Board of Directors for the S.F. General Hospital, Headstart programs and Lions International. Serving as Advisor and Past President, she was awarded Lions of the Year twice by S.F. Chinatown Lions Club and numerous Merits from Lions International. Fanny has been a real estate columnist and a co-anchor for World Channel Chinese program, was CREAA past president, founding board member of AREAA, and NAR President's Liaison to China 2002-2006. Biography:
Ms. Greenfield is a Vice President and Managing Director, Associate Broker at Brown Harris Stevens. She brings a rich and diverse history of comprehensive real estate brokerage and consulting services of more than 35years. Her clients range from individuals and small businesses to multi-billion dollar international conglomerates.
She joined Brown Harris Stevens in January 1996 with the merger of Jean-Marc Levet & Partners, the five year old international realty firm of which she was a principal and managing partner.
Her first job in real estate was with a major national real estate franchise in New Jersey, where she was ranked nationally in the top 3%. In 1980, she joined Merrill Lynch Realty as Director of Marketing, later becoming Vice President of International Sales. Working from Stamford, CT, headquarters offices Ms. Greenfield (then known as Ms. Greenfield – Merdinger) helped the firm create an international cross-referral sales network linking the overseas brokerage offices of Merrill Lynch with the domestic offices of Merrill Lynch Realty. She also created and became publisher of Merrill Lynch’s Fine Homes Magazine. During her tenure at Merrill Lynch Realty she also was also responsible for the National sales marketing and advertising of the 480 wholly owned and operated residential real estate offices across the United States.
When Merrill Lynch sold its real estate operations to Prudential Real Estate affiliates in 1989, Ms Greenfield organized her own New York City based firm, Savoy International.
Within a year, she merged Savoy into the Jean-Marc Levet & Partners, with offices in Paris and New York, serving individual high net-worth clients, residential and commercial owners and investor’s needs.
In addition to brokering high-end residential sales, and representing Christies Resort Properties for Brown Harris Stevens, Ms. Greenfield has acted as sales and marketing consultant for the International Residential and Resort developments: “Kensington Green” in London, England; “Sandy Port” in Nassau, Bahamas; “Virgin Grand” in St. Johns, US Virgin Islands and the “Four Seasons” Resort and Hotel in Nevis, WI.
Susan has been an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), and the National Association of Realtors (NAR). In 1996 she became the Chairman of the International Operations Committee of (NAR) and continues to serve (NAR) as the (NAR) President’s Liaison to Austria and the Austrian Real Estate Association know as “OVI”. Over these years she has also served (NAR) as President’s Liaison to Russia, Bulgaria and Italy.
Ms. Greenfield has also been an approved New York State Department of State’s Licensing Division instructor and has taught continuing Education courses on International topics for the Real Estate Board of New York, the New York State Association of Realtors and New York University School of Real Estate.
She is also a member of the Faculty of (NAR)’s (CIPS) Certified International Property Specialist designation and has taught this curriculum across the USA and Europe over this last decade.

Biography:
David has been a licensed real estate broker since 1985. He has earned five NAR designations and is the recipient of numerous achievement awards, including CIPS Instructor of the Year in 2005. He teaches all six of the CIPS courses and helped write the curriculum for the Africa/Middle East class. He has lived on three continents and is fluent in French, Spanish and German. David was invited to join the U.S. State Department’s directorate of Overseas Buildings Operations in 2004. He has risen to the position of Branch Chief for Property Acquisitions worldwide and has been involved in the purchase or leasing of commercial space, land and housing for new embassies and consulates in more than 70 nations. As a member of the RE/MAX Hall of Fame prior to joining the Department, he had already completed transactions in the U.S. with nationals from 42 countries. Biography:
Pius was born and raised in Hong Kong and came to the States in 1977. He moved to Houston in 1982 after graduating from the University of Mississippi with a Master of Accountancy degree. Pius is the President of Charter Equity, Inc. providing commercial real estate brokerage and property management services to investors from Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Japan, Canada, Germany and Switzerland. Fluent in Cantonese and understands Mandarin.
Pius is a CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member), a CPM (Certified Property Manager) and a CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist). He is currently serving as NAR President’s Special Liaison to the Society of Hong Kong Real Estate Agents. He served as NAR Reciprocal Director to the Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers (SISV) in 1998 and 1999. He is currently a member of the NAR International Operations Committee. Ms. Carmela Ma, CCIM, CIPS, CRE, FRICS was selected as one of the “Most Influential Women in Commercial Real Estate 2007 by Real Estate Southern California Magazine RESOCAL. She was awarded by one of the most prestigious international commercial real estate organization’s, Certified Commercial Investment Member Institute, the CCIM Instructor of the Year 2003, a once in a lifetime award; The People’s Choice Award 2003, and a second time People’s Choice Award in 2006; Senior Instructor of the Year for Financial Analysis in Commercial Real Estate CI-101-CCIM 2001; and CIPS Certified International Property Specialist, conferred by the National Association of Realtors®, and International Instructor of the Year 1998, another once in a lifetime award. A scholarship endowment was awarded in her name for the CCIM Greater Los Angeles Chapter in perpetuity.
Ms. Ma is President of CJM Associates, Inc., a California based company specializing in Real Estate Investment Brokerage, Advisory and Global Transactions. She has been involved in international real estate since the 1970s. She is an American Citizen with years of management experience in the USA and offshore. Her projects have taken her on business trips worldwide (over 30 countries) and produced and hosted her own weekly radio program on city planing, development and design. Her transactions include industrial developments in Africa and Asia, estates from Italy to Beverly Hills and investment properties in Hong Kong and California. Biography:
Tony Macaluso: Born in Falmouth, Cornwall, England.
Tony has served the Florida Association of REALTORS® twice as an Officer and Chairman of many committees. For the National Association of REALTORS®, Tony is a director, and serves on the International Operations Committee. He has traveled for business in Eastern and Western Europe, Canada, and Russia. He was awarded the highest recognition award by NAR, the “International Advocate Award.” Tony has taught in the countries of Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine, Hungary, and Russia. He’s been named NAR’s “Educator of the Year”.
His real estate companies are located in Palm Beaches and the Florida Keys. (Keys are known as ‘islands’ in the United States). His company of 40 agents has captured more than 1/3 of the market share of the Florida Keys. He is a Florida licensed real estate instructor and teaches seminars for many state conventions and NAR. Tony is an active member with RNMI and WCR.

Biography:
David Michonski has been involved in international real estate for over a decade. As a real estate marketing consultant, he has done extensive market analysis in Europe, Eastern Europe and the Caribbean. His clients have been real estate trust departments, the US government, institutions and wealthy individuals. Mr. Michonski not only did market analysis, but created individual marketing plans for properties and projects include the Italian villas of Seward Johnson which he brought to a successful sale, the Portuguese palace of the Schlumberger family and Windjammer Landing Resort in St. Ludia of both of which he did marketing consulting.
In 1990 Mr. Michonski was asked by the State Department to help create a valuation methodology for valuing real estate in non-free market economies, i.e. Eastern Europe. In 1991 he was invited by the Labor Department to assist in creating free market solutions to Eastern Europe’s housing problems. From 1991 to 1993 Mr. Michonski and his family lived in Eastern Europe, specifically in Warsaw, Poland, where he was President of Poland Development Partners, a real estate development company operating in Poland.
Mr. Michonski also served as Chairman of every NAR subcommittee and served as the 1992 Vice-Chairman of International Operations for NAR. He has been past President of the New York Council of FIABCI and has served on the Board of Directors of FIABCI. Currently he is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Coldwell Banker Hunt Kennedy.

Over the past 38 years, Mr. Miller has acquired a most formidable track record in the national and international marketplace in regards to acquiring real estate management business. He is recognized as the country’s leading authority on developing new business.
In his corporate career, Mr. Miller served as Senior Vice President and then President of a major nationwide real estate firm with approximately 3,000 employees and 31 offices in 16 states. He was responsible for 321 apartment developments and 82 commercial buildings in 27 states, consisting of 53,000 apartment units and approximately 14 million square feet of commercial space. The firm had 26 CPM’s on staff.
Mr. Miller is recognized as a knowledgeable author, having many articles featured in most of the leading national financial publications. He has often been a guest speaker at major real estate events throughout Europe, Asia, and America. Because of his numerous achievements in his chosen field, he is listed in the California “Who’s Who.”

Biography:
An East Coast native, Maire Rosol graduated from Manhattanville College in Purchase, N.Y. After a stint as a pharmacologist for a Swiss firm, Maire entered real estate in 1977. An Associate Broker, Maire specializes in resort properties, residential investment, commercial, farms and ranches and other development opportunities. She has represented buyers and sellers from around the globe and has extensive knowledge and networks in the international arena. She has participated in numerous foreign trade missions and travelled extensively all over the world. She teaches continuing education for the Utah Association of REALTORS® and in 2004 was awarded their first International REALTOR® of the year. She served as the 2004 Chair of NAR's International Operations Committee and for several years as the President's Liaison to the Netherlands. She is currently the President's Liaison to Finland and in training for the CIPS faculty. In her free time, she serves on land trust, theatre and homeowner association boards and skis, runs or bikes depending on the season.

Biography:
Barbara Rylands has been involved in international real estate for over 20 years, working with buyers and sellers from every region of the world. She has experience with both residential and commercial properties and specializes in investment properties and property management.
She is a past president of the Orlando Regional REALTOR Association. She graduated from the University of Toledo where she received both Bachelor’s and Masters degrees. She received her law degree from Barry University School of Law. She has taught many real estate courses including Real Estate License Law, Federal Income tax for REALTORS, Recent Tax Law changes and various real estate investment courses for both REALTORS and investors.
She promotes the CIPS designation in the Orlando area while serving in numerous organizations, including the Metropolitan Orlando International Affairs Commission which brings together numerous international interests and initiatives in the four county area including tourism, education, sports, arts, international organizations, business trade associations and Sister Cities programs. She has traveled to Eastern Europe on numerous occasions and participated in the Central European Real Estate Association’s annual conventions.

David Segrest is a general broker and consultant in Charlotte, NC. He has done transactions involving persons or properties from almost every region of the world. He specializes in the acquisition, disposition and management of income properties with an emphasis on Net-leased properties and 1031 exchanges.
Real estate brokerage came as a logical next step in a real estate investing hobby that began in 1972. Experience with many small business ventures was excellent preparation for managing properties and dealing with users and investors.
David obtained his NC salesman’s license in May of 1985. He listed over $1,000,000 worth of property in his first month in business. He averaged a closing per week for the first year of business. He received his broker’s license in August of 1985. In May of 1986 he opened First Love Realty with two partners. The challenge of commercial realty called and David started on his CCIM training
In 1988 First Love Realty became David Segrest, REALTOR®. In 1989 the name was changed to Segrest International, Inc. to reflect the new focus of the company.
In 1990 David Segrest earned the CCIM “CERTIFIED COMMERCIAL INVESTMENT MEMBER” designation from CIREI. In 1994 he earned the CIPS “CERTIFIED INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY SPECIALIST” designation from the International Section of NAR. In 1998 he earned the CEA “CERTIFIED EXCHANGE ADVISOR” designation from the American Institute of Real Estate Exchangers.

Chris grew up in the United States and Japan. After earning his finance degree, he began his international business career in Singapore. Since that time he has successfully transacted business in a broad and diverse range of global markets while residing in many. These transactions include a wide variety of business and financial activities on behalf of a major NYSE-listed company. While residing in Asia, Chris held senior management responsibility for finance and administration in that region of the world, and has been involved in numerous multinational leases, contract negotiations and joint ventures in most of the major economic centers of Asia.
Similar business activities were conducted while residing in Africa, Middle East, Europe, North and South America. This would include developed and developing economies as well as hostile and friendly political environments. Chris's cultural and geographical familiarity extends to on-the-ground experience in approximately 60 countries.
In addition, Chris has successfully organized a number of private placements and served for several years as Director - Business Development for a large private equity firm.
Chris is a Certified International Property Specialist and is a faculty member of the National Association of Realtors' Certified International Property Specialist program. He conducts certification and continuing education courses on international real estate throughout the United States. Chris holds real estate licenses in Washington DC, Virginia and Maryland and specializes in international and commercial real estate investments. He is a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, Washington DC Chamber of Commerce and Arlington Chamber of Commerce.

Biography:
John Stone is President of his own firm, with offices in Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas. He has 31 years experience in commercial/investment real estate brokerage, consulting, leasing and management. This experience includes working with both domestic and foreign investors. Mr. Stone holds a M.B.A. degree in commercial real estate from Southern Methodist University. Mr. Stone is a CIPS Instructor. He serves on numerous committees at all levels of NAR including the International Operations Committee. He is the 1998 NAR Chair of the Specialty Advisory Committee and Vice President of the Dallas IREM Chapter. He has also been a member of AMPI for several years, and is a member of three national IREM committees, the NAR Board of Directors and the CCIM Institute Board of Governors.

Aida Turbow is Director of New Homes Resort International Division for Prudential Florida WCI. For 12 years she spearheaded the International Sales and Marketing Programs at Arvida Realty in Florida. Out of $8.2 Billion in sales in 2001, 15% was from international. Before joining Arvida, Aida was president of her own firm in New York City. She is an MBA candidate and holds a degree from Caracas University in Venezuela. She served as the 2001 Liaison, International and Education Committees, to the National Association of REALTORS® President. In 2005 she serves as the Regional Coordinator for South America. She has also served on many NAR committees including 1998 Chair of the International Operations Committee and was instrumental in the development of the CIPS education program. She has participated in yearly NAR leadership delegations throughout Latin America and Europe. As a Senior Instructor for the CIPS Designation she has taught CIPS courses throughout the US and the world, including Puerto Rico, Argentina, the Netherlands, Brazil, Italy, and Spain.

David has represented multiple international corporations on every continent. He has lived, bought, sold property and operated his own company internationally. He is able to communicate his experiences effectively and welcomes the opportunity to share his knowledge with other professionals. He began working with real estate professionals in the early 1990’s extending technology to individuals and corporations in Florida. He has taught and lectured across the world on topics ranging from marketing and strategy development to international finance and business planning. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia, the Amos Tuck Senior Executive program at Dartmouth, IBM’s Senior International Financial Executive School in Brussels, and the Instructor Training Institute. David serves the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® as a faculty member for the Certification as an International Property Specialist (CIPS) and is a Florida licensed Real Estate Instructor and Broker. Service to his local association includes Director, Secretary, Treasurer and President and he was recognized by his peers as REALTOR® of the Year in 2006. He has served as a State level Director and member of the International Operations Committee and the Florida, Orlando and Daytona Beach International Councils.
